The event begins with the morning session at 11:45 a.m. in the Ballroom of the Curry Student Center. This session, titled "Religion in the News: What Future Reporters and Editors Need to Know," features Benjamin Hubbard, professor emeritus of comparative religion at California State University, Fullerton; Debra Mason, executive director of Religion Newswriters Association and director of the Center on Religion and the Professions, University of Missouri, Columbia; and Munir Shaika, executive director of the Institute of Religion and Civic Values, in California.
